I’m a professional writer and communications guy based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I’m a digital storyteller and language geek who helps companies and organizations amplify their brand voices, weave better narratives, and reach new audiences on search engines and out in the world.
I’m an academic historian by background who cut his teeth as a Tokyo-based travel and business writer. In the years since I’ve worked as a freelance writer, a full-time communications strategist, and a post-secondary writing instructor. If it has to do with the written word, I’ve probably done it.
My pronouns are he/him, my commas are Oxford, my executive assistant is a toy poodle named Brio, and my Enneagram type is four, for what that’s worth. My favourite semi-obscure adjective is ‘febrile’ and my favourite procrastination tool is Wikipedia.
